Following the well-received ASMI (Association of Singapore Marine & Offshore Energy) women’s workshop in May, we were honoured to be invited by ASMI to participate in SMM 2024 - the world’s leading trade fair for the marine industry, held every two years. This year’s event took place in the pretty Hanseatic city of Hamburg, Germany. Organised by ASMI’s Women’s Wing global chapter, the event was as empowering as it was fun, especially with Granville joining us as the group’s “honorary male”.

The fair gave us the incredible opportunity to engage with inspiring women leaders from around the world, including Denmark, the USA, Germany, and India. It was truly inspiring to witness these powerhouse professionals thrive and lead in a traditionally male-dominated sector. One of the highlights was our public reading of 9POV Enneagram profiles, dissecting them and collaboratively finding real-life solutions to the challenges faced by these dynamic leaders. A recurring theme that emerged was the importance of women supporting women - now and in the future - along with the ongoing struggle to balance passion, career ambitions, and family life.
